5000 League, 4600 League, Players Seeking Teams, Team Play Guidelines, Ratings, Qtrly Ratings, Hall of Fame

TEAM PLAY is a fun way to meet more people and improve our sense of community at DG.  In addition, it allows players of all levels to compete for "first place."

We are currently organizing an ongoing league/tournament where you can organize your own three-player team and compete against other DG teams.  The eague will have teams of up to 5500 points.  PLEASE REGISTER teams by e-mail (see below).

For now, our TEAM PLAY will be structured as a league.  The league will probably run through the end of the year, when new leagues will begin.  We will rate and rank the teams on this site.  More rules will be posted as necessary (e.g., limit to number of matches a team must play at one time).  If there is enough interest, we can organize a tournament -- or some other, more structured, ladder/league.

Please send us your ideas, comments and suggestions at moorg@zroundtable.com .   Thank you.

  • We are getting set to launch NEW Team Play action.  The current Team Play leagues should wrap up their remaining matches.  Please send us an e-mail with any ideas at moorg@zroundtable.com .

Match Guidelines

  • Matches should start as a CHALLENGE/INVITATION from one captain to another.  Once the challenge is accepted, the challenging team should make ALL of the remaining 8 (total of 9 matches) challenges/invitations.  This will avoid the confusion of too many invitations flying around.

  • Results should be e-mailed to MOORG at moorg@zroundtable.com  (Please e-mail: Winning team and score [e.g., 6-3])

Team Play Ideas

  • Teams of three players
  • The sum of the DG Ratings for the three players should be LESS THAN 5500 when the team is REGISTERED
  • Five-point matches (JORDAN may add a time clock to the INVITE function; probably 24-36 hour grace period)
  • Each team player will play three five-point matches (one match against each of the other team's players -- for a total of 9 matches per team match)
  • The winning team will win at least five of the nine matches.
  • Only one team per player per league.
  • Matches may be started by INVITING the captain of another team
  • Results should be e-mailed to j2w2s2@yahoo.com

Registration - Please include the following in an e-mail to j2w2s2@yahoo.com
  • Team name
  • Team members (along with current rating)
  • Team captain (the captain will be the person to contact to organize matches)
